An Adventure Awaits

They say that if you wait to do something until you're ready, you'll never do it.

I'm sure this is how many small business owners felt before they decided to take the plunge themselves. If I'm being honest, this isn't my first business, but it's definitely the first one that matters.

When I was just seven years old, I had my first business selling dog and cat treats, called Lil' Biscuits. I still remember hanging my printed paper banner in the front bay window of my house. Despite being a child, I also designed my own website for the business using Yahoo! Geocities. (They really do give second graders too many liberties.)

This felt a lot more real. I filed paperwork with the State of Rhode Island. I bought my own domain name. I had to learn basic HTML. I was suddenly the person that people came to when they needed help with their marketing efforts.

I realized that I just spent a year and a half in school preparing for a moment just like this, and yet there I was–wanting to dip my toes, when in reality I needed to just dive in.

That is how Ampersand Media was born. I know what it's like to take risks. I know that people typically don't like change. Whether you're a new business trying to take off, or you're a long established business, entering the new frontier of the digital age, I want to be there to help.

Everyone needs a great adventure buddy. We just happen to know how to tell a great story, too.
